Djena Lee's Golden Girl (pronounced "Zshena") 80 days, indeterminate. Medium yellow gold with an orange undertone. These have that excellent balance of acid to sugar giving them a sweet yet tangy flavor. There is a bit of history on Djena Lee's tomato. She started growing and sharing the seeds of this variety in the 1920's in Illinois. The tomatoes were so exceptional that they won first prize for 10 years running at the Chicago Fair. |
